My initial idea was for the magazine to look basic, and to do so, I had a very simple dominant central image and then just had information on one article. My reasons for having this, is that I feel, because my target audience is teenagers, they are more intrigued by images than by words, therefore the use of a large dominant central image means that the potential buyer will be attracted to this magazine and will not get "bombarded" with lots of information by the contents of the cover.
In this plan I didn't have a box for the competition advertisement, my reason for this is because at the time, I didn't have the idea of combining music and fashion. That idea came later on in the research and planning stage.
